I am so excited to announce that this is my first beauty post! Yes, I love fashion and all things wellness, but I also love beauty, and skincare being a massive part of this.
You don’t have to have tons of money to buy great skincare products. Here are my top favorite products, including a little skin care routine.
STEP 1: WASH YOUR FACE
So, we all know that it is important to wash our faces. But, according to Dermalogica, as many as 1 in 3 people miss out this step on a weekly basis! Now, I’m not going to lie and say that Dermalogica is cheap. In fact, as I am currently living at home, I found these in my mum’s cupboard (lols). However, I’m sure if you do a little digging on Amazon or eBay, you can find these products for much cheaper!
STEP 2: MOISTURE
AH, that wonderful word. Well, in all seriousness, it is SO important to moisturize. I found this Pearlessence beauty hidden in the scrambled messy shelves of TK Maxx, and what a find it has been. Now, if you are on a budget but have expensive taste like yours truly, TK Maxx is an absolute godsend. This coconut face mist is my first step to moisturization and I use it day and night and every second in between (as you can tell, it’s nearly empty!). I will definitely be repurchasing this. It is the most luxurious feeling, refreshing and lovely smelling thing you did ever see. And for £12, it is rude not to!
STEP 3: DAY CREAM WITH SPF
Are we all sick of hearing about SPF yet? Well, I’m sorry but it is SOOOOO important in preserving the elasticity and youthful glow of your skin! The sun causes approximately 90% of wrinkles in our skin as we get older. I dunno about you, but I will fight those wrinkles til the bitter end. Now, this beautiful SPF day cream with green tea was a measly £4 for Primark, and it truly is a lovely rich, pampering moisturizer.
STEP 4: EYE CREAM
I only recently started wearing eye cream, and as I am only 22 and have very few lines on my face I honestly don’t know if this is making a difference. But hey ho, i’m all about prevention over cure, and it’s not going to do any harm, right!? This was another TK Maxx purchase, RRP: £50, reduced to £12. Yes. Please.
STEP 5: NIGHT CREAM
Yet another TK Maxx find, the Lange Paris anti-aging night cream. RRP: £96, reduced to £15. WHAT A BLOODY BARGAIN EY!? This night cream is so thick and rich, definitely one to pick up!
I also always use vaseline on my lips, eyebrows and around my eyes before bed.
I use coconut oil on my body.
I use a scrub face wash twice a week.
I use hand cream when I remember!
I take my makeup off most nights with Micellar Water, and if I’m drunk or realllly cba with Simple face wipes.
I sometimes layer different moisturizers on my face if it’s feeling extra dry.
I would love to know your favorite skincare products in the comments!
