So just a quick post from me today as I sit here drinking my rose latte in a little coffee shop and boutique up my road in Shoreditch (which is called Aida btw and it’s lovely).
I have no fancy photography for you today, just a little check in to remind you to take charge of your future. A few months ago I had a little idea to note down in great detail where I see myself in 5 years in every aspect of my life. I delved straight into where I see myself in my relationships, my career, my living situation, my hobbies…even down to my skincare routine! I pictured future me and wrote it all down.
I then broke down my end goals into steps – what do I need to do to get there and how long will it take me? Be specific. I took each element of my ‘how to get there’ and spread it across 5 years. I now have a detailed plan of everything that I need to do to reach my goals for the future and make my future self grateful and proud.
Life is too short to let it run by you and get carried by in the wind with no end goal. One of my goals is to have a well established blog by the time I am 27. My steps to get there were to be consistent, get to London and try and get my name out there. The first step has been done and I hope I can continue to step in the right direction. It is not going to happen overnight and it will take a lot of work and consistency to get where you want to be. There will be bumps in the road and at times you might need to rethink your game plan!
Let me know in the comments where you see yourself in 5 years, and start wiping the dust off that old notebook!
