Well, well well…guess who’s back!!!?
I mean, I never really went away – but time has just ran away with me. I cannot believe I have been living in London for 6 months and I cannot believe how much my life has changed this year. I thought, what with the summer nearly over and the fact that I haven’t blogged in the best part of 5 months, I would fill you in by reviewing my resolutions that I set at the beginning of the year (post can be found under Reflections and Resolutions).
So, the first resolution was to find a job; the beginning of my career. I am proud to say that I finally fucking did it! I landed a job at Quintessentially London as a Sourcing Specialist (personal shopper) and also coordinate the marketing for the Gifts department (in case anyone was wondering). Honestly, to be able to write in a blog post that I have started my career feels soooo fucking good. I have done many a post on how frustrating it is to graduate university and to find yourself sinking in this world of debt, unpaid internships and rejection. But low and behold, I did it. And if I can, anyone can. All it takes is perseverance, patience, keeping yourself busy and never giving up 🙂
Secondly, I wanted to move to London. Guess who did that as well!? ME! I made the move to the big old smoke having only viewed one flat and no knowing how the hell I was going to pay for it. But I did it. I knew that I had to make it work and so I did. Honestly, if you want something so bad, you will always find a way to make it work.
Thirdly, I wanted to reach optimal fitness. Well…I still haven’t met my aesthetic goals I suppose you could say. However, I do go to the gym 3-4 times a week, I walk to work almost everyday which takes me just over an hour and I have also started lifting weights this year. Although I stillllll would like to drop some weight, I have noticed that I am extremely fit when it comes to my cardio and that I am also much stronger than I was last year. Even a few of my friends have commented on how they are impressed with my strength lol. And it feels good!
Next, I wanted to make more memories with my friends and focus my aim completely on these relationships. Well, this year has been full of fond friendship memories! I have met some amazing people since living in London, been visited by some of my best friends, been so lucky with my flatmates, seen my mates almost every week and actually just had a blast. Lovebox has definitely been one of the highlights of friend memories this year (see delightfully drunk pic below)…and hopefully many more to come before the year is up!

And last but not least, I wanted to read more! I mean, reading makes for a more well rounded person, right? I am thrilled to say that although I stilllll struggle to remember and haven’t completed many books this year, I do always have a book or publication on the go that I am ploughing through! And slow and steady wins the race, am I right!? I definitely want to continue getting better at picking up a book going into next year but for now I am quite content in the fact that I do, 90% of the time, have some sort of reading material in my bag.
So folks, I will try to upload more regularly with some fashion content. I have just found it much more difficult what with living in London, trying to find the time to blog and also finding someone who is patient enough to take my pics. Thank you for anyone who still reads my posts! And I will hopefully write to you V soon!
